My father once told me that my destiny decided everything for me…

It made me think about the decisions I had to make, the actions I had to take, and the mistakes and doubts I had to overcome…

I don’t think I agree with my father.

I am a strong believer in each person’s ability to take action despite the circumstances they’re in, and what other people say to them and about them.

Fate might open or close some doors but if we don’t take action, we’ll be standing outside these doors for the rest of our lives.

Every bad experience is just a life lesson, not a life sentence. The quicker we bounce back the more fun we have in life.

I remember the day I had to close down my very first business. I was so ashamed. I had no money, no place to live, and no places to go.

I remember saying to myself, 'Well, this is officially rock bottom. Congratulations, you've reached it. The only way is up now.”

This last part “The only way is up now” made all the difference. It made me focus on the next steps to uplevel my life and get better results.

I opened my wallet and found a business card someone gave me a few months back, saying they liked my work. I gave them a call and booked a job interview. I knew I was getting this job no matter what because "the only way was up."

Things have gotten much better since then but not by fate, but by deliberate decisions, actions, and the belief that I can do better.
